Field models created by CMHCD in the nineties were coming out of the fact that up to that time services were scattered and did not cooperate enough. CMHCD contributed and still is contributing to creation of models mainly expert knowledge and managerial skills.
Education of professionals, state administration and municipalities in the field of transformation of institutional treatment of the mentally ill (The first optimal model of transformation of a psychiatric hospital) (2006 - 2007)
The project is financed by the European Social Fund, the Czech government and the Prague municipal government.
The project is designed to educate workers of state administration, municipalities and professionals in the field of mental health care policies, including community care and transformation of psychiatry. The goal of the project is an agreement on the process of transformation and best possible care about the mentally ill in the Prague region. The project also focuses on creating the first optimal model of transformation of a psychiatric hospital aimed at reducing the number of beds and improving intramural care and the network of outpatient services.
Matra II - Humanization of psychiatric hospitals in the Czech Republic - integration of hospital treatment and extramural services (1999 - 2001)
Psychiatric hospitals Bílá Voda u Javorníka, Brno-Černovice, Jihlava and Lnáře with professional assistance of CMHCD researched their patients‘ needs as well as the current state and possibilities of services in the region. Based on results of this research they initiated foundation of new facilities and a network of mutually cooperating services providing help to patients released from hospital.

Project aimed at cooperation between psychiatric hospitals and extramural care (1998) The goal of the project was starting cooperation between psychiatric hospitals Bílá Voda, Havlíčkův Brod, Jihlava and Opava with extramural services aimed at supporting active participation of psychiatric hospitals in creation and development of community services.
The project was financed from the MATRA programme by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Integrated community and basic care (1996) The project focused on creating models of regional community care. At first it researched the condition of health care and social services and needs in Mlada Boleslav, Ostrava, Prague 11 and Usti nad Labem. Then it started communication between providers of health care and social services as well as local state administration. The project gradually included providers, users and health insurance companies. The project resulted in starting the process of planning health care and social services in these regions.

Matra I - Field models of integrated community mental health care - project of regional community care (1995 - 1997) The project called for creation of regional community care teams in Mlada Boleslav, Pardubice and Prague 11. The teams were mainly focusing on researching local needs that widening the spectrum of activities of already existing facilities and introducing new needed services. The models also called to initiating cooperation with local administration bodies.
