Development and standardization of tools for evaluating efficiency of community psychiatry services (2005 - 2007)
The goal of the project is to create a comprehensive manual of evaluation methods and questionnaires so that they could become an integral part of the National Accreditation Standards of Medical Facilities for evaluating efficiency and quality of care as well as patients’ satisfaction and connections between health care and social services in mental health care.
In 2005 the project included translation and testing of a Camberwell Assessment of Need (CAN), translation of questionnaire Health of the Nation Outcome Scale (HoNOS) and collection of data of its self-evaluation version used for validity checking.
The project was supported by the Czech Ministry of Health within the framework of the National Programme of Health Care Quality.

  • Implementation of the Concept of Psychiatry from the perspective of outpatient services (2004)
CMHCD participated in creation of quality and quantity research among outpatient psychiatrists and general practitioners. The research was aimed at finding out how doctors perceive obstacles in implementing the Concept of Psychiatry from the point of view of outpatient care. Agency STEM/MARK, a.s. carried out this research in cooperation with CMHCD exclusively for the Czech Ministry of Health.

  • A model for monitoring, evaluating and improving community care for the mentally ill (2001 - 2003)
The project researched and created an evaluation system for quality of mental health care. Its goal was to look at the problem from many different perspectives – client’s, professional teams’, the whole system’s and the national policy’s. Its results can be divided into two parts: actual information about the issue and tools that should help continuously monitor and evaluate introduced community services. The project was supported by a grant provided by an Internal Grant Agency of the Czech Ministry of Health.
