The project aims to
support family members of people with mental illness in three psychiatric hospitals in Czech republic (
Opava,
Horní Beřkovice a
Jihlava),
including the implementation of the role of peer family member in these hospitals.
Implementation of the role of 9 peer family member in different hospital departements of 3 psychiatric hospitals (05/2020 – 04/2021 employement financed from the project) – training of the teams and applicants for the role of peer family worker and support during the implementation.
Support of family members of hospitalised patitents – individual support and group thematic and supportive activities.
Creation of the handbooks „Implementations of peer family members to the departements of psychiatric hospitals“ and Guide about the hospitalisation and treatement for the family members of people with mental illness“.
Evaluation.
Cooperation with foreign experts: Emergis in
Netherlands.
Opening konference (Octobre 2019): presentation about the role of peer family member in psychiatric hospital – informations about the role, training, support of the role, cooperation with colleagues, etc. and sharing of experience and best practices.
Consultations during the implementation of the role of peer family member.
Intership for applicants for the role of peer family worker in the organisation abroad with implemnted position of peer family worker.
Closing konference (June 2021): experience from the project and evaluation, suggestions of foreign experts for maintaing of the role.
