The aim of the project Systematic Support of Peer Support Workers (PSW) at Psychiatric Hospital Bohnice (PHB) is to change system settings and conditions for the functioning of peer consultants in PHB.

The aims of the project are to:
Spirala-zelena.pngdefine the role of peer support workers in PHB, create documents containing the job description, rules for procure new PSW, the procedure of their adaptation and rules for preparation of teams to which the PSW enters. The approved documents will be incorporated into a set of internal regulations of Psychiatric Hospital.
Presentation of the role of peer consultants in PHB will be supported by information activities: video spot, leaflet, set of good practice examples.

Spirala-zelena-1.pngsupport the effective functioning of peer support workers in 6 departments that employ PSW. The aim will be to reflect the current activities of PSW, to design and optimize their involvement in the work of the department. There will be 7 reflective meetings for 6 departments.

- Training - PSW will be provided with training to strengthen their professional role
- Group supervisory support once every 6 weeks during project implementation

quantitative evaluation - through INSPIRE Brief questionnaire, which monitors the quality of the helping relationship
qualitative evaluation - form of 2 focus group
- focus group with department staff, where the peer support workers work, to identify the main benefits and limits of the involvement of peer consultants.
- focus group with peer support workers to evaluate their functioning in Psychiatric Hospital, with an emphasis on organizational and system elements that help their effective operation.
